It seems the general fear of AI comes from a deep seeded notion that something about our very existence is wrong and the unpredictability of AI could mean that it could expose that very "wrongness" that we generally spend most of our lives avoiding. I don't mean this statement as to be taken literally of course. Should you watch any Hollywood video or dive into any dystopian story, this idea is always at the heart of it somewhere: Man vs the actions of Man with AI as the catalyst of that confrontation. I for one look forward to the wonders and advancements that could come. We live on the future now. Think about that. Seriously. Think about it.
